FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why Laser Light Therapy? A: Stress today is one of the greatest challenges to our health and mental well being. By merging modern laser science with eastern and western medicine, The Center offers an innovative approach to treating anxiety and stress disorders and an important compliment to traditional healthcare. The mind and body are a marvel of invention and inter-connectivity. Both are addressed in The Center’s unique protocol of laser light therapy. What is Laser Light Therapy? A: Laser Light Therapy addresses the symptoms of stress disorders through the application of laser light energy to specialized body points. The low level laser device is FDA approved and specifically designed for this purpose. The Center’s unique treatment protocols are offered under the auspices of the IRB Investigational Review Board. How Does it Work? A: The Center utilizes a non- invasive low level laser which is a very different type of laser device than the ones used in hospitals for surgery or for cosmetic purposes. The laser is a low level energy laser which is non- invasive and painless. By applying the laser energy to specialized body points similar to those used in Chinese medicine, the body’s natural healing mechanisms are triggered to release endorphins to relieve pain and stress. The beneficial therapeutic effects are numerous as the laser light energy travels throughout the body to carefully selected acupuncture meridian body points. Because there are no needles involved, treatments are convenient and painless and are shorter duration than traditional acupuncture. What are the advantages? A: The greatest advantage to Laser Light Therapy is that it is a safe and effective alternative medical treatment that does not rely on drugs or pharmaceutical therapy. The protocol is a composite of modern psychiatric knowledge of brain function, laser therapy, and ancient Chinese Medicine. What are the benefits? A: Benefits include: - FDA Approved Laser
- Non invasive
- Painless
- Does not generate heat (non-thermal)
- Does not damage tissue
- Does not use needles
- Increases relaxation and sense of well being
